I am Rob Evans, a Drake University Law School graduate and family law practitioner. I have dedicated my legal practice to the field of family law and mediation because I believe my compassionate and empathetic nature lend to my ability to best help those in need during the most troubled times of their lives.

I have also been through a divorce myself, and therefore understand the importance of having an understanding advocate in your corner. Getting divorced impacts every aspect of a person’s life, from your finances to your emotional state. Not only is there sorrow because your marriage is ending, but fear of the future creeps in – Will I be broke? Will the kids be ok? Will I ever be happy? What will my friends think? The feelings can be overwhelming. My goal is to help each member of your family retain, or in some circumstances regain, self-worth, dignity, and respect, and to foster an understanding which will allow you to move forward in a healthy and productive manner. I have a fantastic 17 year old son, Brian, who is my pride and joy. I have operated my own business by owning gyms in both Ankeny and West Des Moines prior to going to law school. I graduated with high honors from Drake University Law School, and I am a certified Mediator and Collaborative attorney.
